About Patrick Shields
I consider myself at least a partial expert on parties, walls, and party walls. Much of my early professional experience [BSBA-Marketing] consisted of event production and promotion--identifying revelers' appeals and exploiting them for the sake of [their] good time and [my] pay check. As I drifted purposefully through graduate school [MA Global Sustainability], my infatuation with green building grew stronger and I inevitably became over acquainted with the ins-and-outs of wall anatomy. Since moving out of Mom and Dad's some 8 years ago, I've dealt firsthand with party walls on a tour de multifamily living that's included not-so-luxury leases in Tampa Bay, New Jersey, and New York City. Now we come full circle: I hold a marketing position with a green building firm and contribute periodically to a blog cleverly titled Party Walls.
