Existing Building Energy Audit Programs
SWA is one of the nation’s leading consulting firms in sustainable building design and green technologies. For 37 years, SWA has been a leader in technical research and developing sustainable building practices. SWA offers a full range of technical services for existing commercial buildings, including comprehensive energy assessments, energy modeling, sustainable design and feasibility studies. SWA’s expertise includes renewable energy, lighting, HVAC systems, building envelope, and combined heat and power (CHP). Following are some programs that SWA is participating in with local and federal governments.
New York State Energy Research and Development Authority has contracted with SWA through the FlexTech program to provide energy audit services by analyzing energy conservation measures for commercial and institutional buildings in New York State. The goal of the program is to develop a detailed baseline of the site energy and identify opportunities to minimize total energy and water consumption and related operating costs.
The New Jersey's Clean Energy Program supports energy efficiency through conservation efforts and promotes the development of renewable sources of energy. The Office of Clean Energy, which was established in 2003 by the New Jersey Board of Public Utilities, administers this program that offers incentives for energy audit services and installations of energy conservation and environmental measures to New Jersey customers. SWA is a partner with the Local Government Energy Audit Program (LGEA) and the Pay-for-Performance (P4P) Program that are a part of the New Jersey's Clean Energy Program. SWA provides energy audits for LGEA, which allows municipal and local governments to save energy and reduce operating cost on its facilities. SWA provides technical services for the P4P program, which allows existing industrial, commercial and multifamily buildings to save energy and earn incentives upon completion of the program.
