Energy Modeling

SWA’s team of energy modeling engineers are dedicated to providing a high level of quantitative analysis to help our clients make informed design decisions to optimize the energy performance of their buildings, obtain LEED® and other certifications, maximize potential incentive opportunities, and comply with local laws and energy codes.

Our engineers utilize advanced whole building simulation tools, such as eQUEST and EnergyPlus, to support energy analyses for new construction residential and commercial projects, as well as for ASHRAE Level II and III energy audits of existing buildings.

SWA has extensive experience modeling buildings in the residential, commercial, industrial, and educational sectors. We are versed in current industry standards (ASHRAE 90.1 Appendix G) and have been instrumental in developing new modeling protocols (ex. for LEED® for Homes™ Midrise).
